American carrier Verizon can never see eye-to-eye with Google. Which is why it was truly surprising when the Big Red suddenly started selling the Google Nexus 5 a couple of months ago. It is either due to a change of heart or simply business..
We believe that it is the latter. Many analysts saw Verizon’s decision as an epic failure due to the lateness in offering the Nexus 5. Perhaps, the carrier knows something we don’t.
For the last couple of weeks, rumours have gone rife on the Nexus 6, getting delayed until mid-next year. If this is true, then Verizon could benefit from the delay and bag as much sales as possible from the Google Nexus 5.
The latter was released back in November last year and it is the first ever Nexus smartphone to join the Verizon network. If the pattern is to stay consistent, we could just see Verizon selling the Nexus 6 as well.
The Big Red carrier rarely makes a bad business decision ad we don’t think that the Nexus 5 is one of them.
