If you are with Verizon and are in the market for a new device right now you won’t be able to get the Samsung Galaxy S5 or Nexus 6 right now as they are not on the shelves. But there are many superb handsets out to choose from.
The launch of new handsets this year compared to last year has been slow and so the choices of devices are those that came out last year. This is not a bad thing though as we saw some superb devices launched last year.
Over at Verizon things have been slow with just one handset arriving in February, apart from this the line-up hasn’t changed.
Verizon does have some top of the line handsets, which can make it hard for those looking for a new device to choose. So here is our choice of the best devices on the market over at Verizon right now.
The Apple iPhone 5S is a great device that is packed with some superb hardware and iOS 7. This is one of the best all round devices and comes with a superb display, camera and fingerprint reader, plus the 64 bit processor.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 takes a place as this is excellent when it comes to multi-tasking and the features the S Pen along with a display that is 1080p. While the Verizon version is expensive, it is worth it as the device is built to last and it does look awesome.
The Motorola Moto X is an oldie but goodie and it is a powerful handset which comes with some features that are unique. Along with this it is customisable with Moto Maker, it offers a camera that is solid, along with a good screen, processor and design and you can get it for $99 on contract.
The Nokia Lumia Icon is available only at Verizon and it offers a premium design mixed with a camera that is dependable, a processor that is fast and great audio. This is a great overall package and it runs on Windows with an update to 8.1 heading its way.
There is also the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One to consider. Both devices are solid but they are going to be replaced by successors soon. However they are both still great options and deserve to be on the list thanks to the great hardware and software. As newer versions are on the way both will see a drop in the price tag too.
