Android 4.4.2 KitKat Kicks Moto X Users Right In The Motos

Ever since owners of the Moto X got updated to KitKat 4.4.2 some have been seeing battery drain on their handsets. Now there are many people taking to the forums saying that their battery has dropped down after making the update. But why is this and what can be done about it?

It seems that the majority of owners see Android OS using most of the battery and this was first seen with the Nexus 5 when that ran 4.2.2 and is something that Google has yet to address.

Another app that users say uses a lot of battery is Chrome Beta. Others have said that location services seem to use a lot of battery and some users have even resorted to doing a factory reset of their device. Some have even suggested that rebooting the device each morning is needed. All in all it does look as though the issues did arise following the update to KitKat 4.4.2 and now that other handsets are being updated other owners are seeing the issue too.
