The best marketing technique today is through the word of mouth. Just about anything can turn to gold once it becomes a trend. This technique applies for games as well and perhaps Respawn should do the same with the highly anticipated, Titanfall.
This new gaming title is currently in development. However, things have turned into a mess with every bit and pieces of information Respawn revealed on Titanfall. This Xbox exclusive title is known to be 100% multiplayer which is limited to 12 players per lobby. While it might sound great at first, gamers felt that Titanfall might be limited in content. On top of that, the 12 players limit appears to be a huge let down.
Gamers also get a feeling that Titanfall will turn out to be nothing more than a ‘B’ grade Call of Duty game. The latter offer 12 players in a single lobby and did superbly. As for Titanfall, there is more doubt than hope.
The remedy to salvage a huge anticipation would be with a Beta release. This weekend, the Alpha version will be available but it is could also be limited. Fans are calling for Respawn to do a Beta and let the gamers get more feel of the game despite the bugs and glitches. This way, there will be a much clearer picture on how Titanfall will turn out to be.
GamingBlend revealed a Tweet from a fan to Respawn asking for a Beta version in the future. The response from the game developer is a positive one, quoting “it’s possible”.
With a Beta release, identifying a bug will be much quicker. On top of that, players will see the game’s true colours. No matter how good it will be, the word from these players will be the best marketing tool for Titanfall. In other words, releasing a Beta won’t be a mistake.
