The LG Nexus 1.6 Tipped For Google I/O Launch

It seems that Google are going to be working alongside LG again on a new smartwatch, according to a new leak.

Details have been provided by @evleaks about the smartwatch being in production and it will be called the LG Nexus 1.6 thanks to the fact that the display will be 1.65 inches IPS LCD with a resolution of 280 x 280. The smartwatch will feature 4GB of internal storage along with having 512MB of RAM, but we have no idea as to what processor will be in the device.

We also have no idea as to the design of the smartwatch as unlike the majority of leaks from @evleaks, this one doesn’t come with a photo. The smartwatch will have a square display thanks to the resolution being 280 x 280.

Google have told us about plans for the release of the special software development kit before the end of this month for their wearable devices, fitness bands, smartwatches and headsets.

Last year we heard many rumours about a possible Google smartwatch coming our way with KitKat 4.4 but this never happened.

The Wall Street Journal did say that Google are set to release the smartwatch this year and that it was in the last stages of its development and would be going onto the production line very soon.
