Within one week of it being out the untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1 was seen over at 7jailbreak.com. The surprise turned sour though when it was found that that not everything was hunky dory. On the website it said that you didn’t have to connect your iPhone to the computer in order to jailbreak the device. It also said that the jailbreak worked with the iPhone 5S, which is of course the latest device from Apple.
Some people trusted it as it was said that Joshua Hill was behind the jailbreak. He is well known among jailbreakers as he goes under the name of P0Sixninja.
Hill went on to say that he didn’t have anything to do with the jailbreak and that it was a fake. Some owners of the iPhone have downloaded it and then seen their device flooded with ads.
The jailbreak community are waiting for news about the Evad3rs iOS 7.1 jailbreak but they have remained quiet. It seems they could be waiting for iOS 8.
However hacker Pod2g recently said that if he had any spare time he would look into the jailbreak.
