Based on the fact that the game The Division receive similar attention as the Destiny game and with both games offering similar gameplay, it was assumed that The Division will end up having the same fate as Destiny and that the game will quickly crash and burn soon after it is released.
Well, it looks like they got it all wrong because The Division seems to be doing great. In fact, The Division even manage to beat Destiny to become the biggest original IP launch game.
According to Ubisoft, they manage to sell a total of $330million in the first week alone. Destiny hit an impressive $325million when it was first release. The important thing for Ubisoft right now is to keep those fans interested. Destiny fans quickly grew tired of the game soon after it was released as many of them felt like the game was too repetitive and they got bored of it real fast.
