We still do not know much about the Tesla Model 3 but it looks like the Tesla Model 3 will be fitted with a battery that will be as big as the one seen under the Chevrolet Bolt.
Or at least that was what Colin Langan has suggested not too long ago. According to Langan, the Tesla Model 3 will be coming in with a 60kWh battery pack that is roughly the same size as the Bolt’s battery. He also added that the battery under the Tesla Model 3 will cost about $260 per kWh.
Well, it did not take long for Tesla to response to the speculations. Jeff Evanson from Tesla later stepped out to clarify that the Tesla Model 3 will come with a battery pack that is smaller than 60kWh and that it will be able to offer about 200+ miles of range.
Tesla also added that the battery will cost less adding that the Tesla Model S battery only cost $190 per kWh. They also revealed that the upcoming Model 3 will not be an all aluminium model like what some of the rumours are suggesting.
