At this point, most people probably believe that Sony has already decided to axe their Sony Xperia Z6 even though Sony have not made any official announcement yet. With so little news about the flagship, it does feel like Sony might have killed it off. If that is true, did they make a mistake?
Well, we all know that the Sony Xperia Z5 was not doing that well. Its specs were not bad but it did not have any stand out feature and people just didn’t find it that appealing.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium did get a better response but it probably did not do good enough to convince Sony that the Sony Xperia Z6 is going to be worth releasing. There have been no indication that Sony plans to release a flagship this year which means those looking to get a Sony phones will only have the new Xperia X Series to consider.
