It looks as though the owners of the Sony Xperia Z3 Plus are taking matters into their own hands when it comes to the overheating issues experienced on their devices. There have been a lot of complaints about the handset overheating but it does seem that the issue can be resolved inexpensively and fast.
It seems that Sony has had to throttle the performance to stop excessive heat building up on the Sony Xperia Z3 Plus due to the fact that the device is thin and is has the Snapdragon 810 processor. However this hasn’t controlled the situation and some owners have said that intensive apps force the close if they are used for any period of time and this includes the camera.
One owner of the Sony Xperia Z3 Plus managed to get past this issue as they used a case and some kitchen foil. Six layers of foil had to be applied to the back of the handset and these are held in place using a case for the device. When using the foil on the device the performance drop was less noticeable and 80% of the performance test was maintained with it in place. Another user said that they tried the same thing only they used copper foil.
So if you have been having issues with your Sony Xperia Z3 Plus over heating you might want to try wrapping the handset in foil.
