Regardless of how amazing the Sony Xperia Z2 may be, there is still a huge portion of the fans that are hoping for it to come with a smaller screen. Well, this may soon happen with the upcoming, Xperia Z2 Compact.
Today, we found out what the Z2 Compact is all about as the device makes its debut in Japan. Sony has just launched the Xperia A2 for NTT DoCoMo and it is believed to be the Z2 Compact.
This is similar to the Xperia Z11 F, which turns out to be the Z1 Compact when the device got released globally. We expect the same pattern to repeat for the newer Xperia Z2 Compact.
Even the Xperia A2 specifications are like the Z2 Compact. It sports a 4.7” display that runs at 1280 x 720p resolution. This is powered by the 2.2GHz quad-core processor that is accompanied by a 2GB RAM, a camera of 20.7MP on the back, along with a front camera of 2.2MP. The A2 has 16GB of internal storage, microSD support and 2300mAh battery.
Then again, it is best to take it with a pinch of salt. As much we like to believe it to be the Sony Xperia Z2 Compact, the A2 can still turnout to be a different smartphone.
