It has been a frustrating period for every Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 users as they have been kept waiting for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. To make things worse, all the other phone manufacturers have finished updating their major devices.
Well, users can now put their frustrations to rest as Sony has finally launched the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the aforementioned devices. The new firmware was rolled out in Australia earlier today and it will continue to spread to other parts of the world within a fortnight from now.
Australia’s network, Vodafone, even shared that the update is going to be released in phases based on the region and it will start with Australia and the Oceana continent.
At this rate, it is safe to assume that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update will arrive to all Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 smartphones within this month. Upon applying the update, users will get to experience the Lollipop revolutionary design and features.
