The Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and the Z2 are all great devices to own but it is unfortunate that they have yet to get the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Then again, this will look to change next week when Sony launches the update to the aforementioned devices.
This was confirmed earlier today by Australia’s carrier, Vodafone. The telco revealed that they are already running soak test for the update and will launch it to the Z3, Z3 Compact and Z4 simultaneously next week.
In addition to that, Vodafone was kind enough to share that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Xperia Z-Series are coming out based on regions.
The updating process will begin with the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z4 over at Australia before reaching out to the rest of the world. As such, it is safe to assume the updating process to reach its completion before the end of this month.
