Xperia smartphone users will be pleased to know that Sony has rolled out the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2. The firmware was released OTA earlier today and users can expect a prompt to appear shortly from now.
The update measures at about 700MB in size and it requires about 1.4GB of free space for installation. If users don’t receive the update by the end of today, they should seek for it manually via the Software Update tab listed in the devices’ settings.
Of course, the Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 are just the tip of the iceberg in this updating process. Soon, the Lollipop will be reaching out to the Z, Z Compact, Z2 Compact, Z Ultra and Z2 Ultra. Sony is expected to complete the entire updating process by the end of this month for all supporting Xperia devices.
