Toyota proudly announced earlier today that they have developed a new base platform for their future vehicles today and it is known as the TNGA platform.
The Japanese carmaker shared that the new architecture will have better lower centre of gravity and it promises an improved driving experience. Furthermore, the platform will open the doors to new lightweight technologies like aluminium sheets and such.
In other words, future Toyota vehicles are going to weigh lighter. Obviously, this will improve on the vehicles’ fuel economy and power output.
Toyota teased that the TNGA platform will be applied on the next-gen Prius and this comes with the aim of achieving revolutionary fuel economy. More details on this are bound to surface by next-year.
