On the market now is the Android 4.4.4 and this will be the last buid of the KitKat OS. Sony, especially, is very keen to have all their Xperia handsets updated.
The Japanese manufacturer stated a little while ago that the Xperia X, SP, T, TX and V would all be getting a taste of this chocolaty treat.
In addition to that, Sony have confirmed that the KitKat 4.4.4 update will include features from the Z1 and Xperia Sirius smartphones.
Oon that subject, the Xperia Sirius is also getting a new UI. A picture was leaked of the handset’s home screen which confirmed that there are also going to be changes made to the status bar icons and battery icon. On top of that, the Sirius is lucky enough to have the xLoud engine and Clear Audio.
These exact features are also heading to the Ultra X, Xperia Z1 and the Z series smartphones. Sony will also be adding features like Timeshift video, Smart Social apps and background defocus.
That’s not all. Thanks to the Android 4.4.4 KitKat, if you double-tap the screen on the Xperia smartphones you can wake up your device.
You also have the option to personalise. The update will give users access to My Xperia themes so that their handset can be even more customized.
To sum it up, Xperia users will no doubt be pleased with the Android 4.4.4 update. Fingers crossed that Sony start rolling them out in the near future.
