The Sony original features coming to the KitKat will be similar to that on the Xperia Sirius and the Xperia Z1. One of the biggest changes is the UI. Looking at the leaked Xperia Sirius, there are two UIs users can choose from. They are the Xperia standard UI and the Simple Home Screen. On the latter, many icons have changed which involve the battery and the settings menu.
On top of that, users will get to enjoy camera features which include TimeShift video, Background Defocus and much more. There is also that Smart Backlight system that will debut on Sony’s KitKat that offers whit balance, smart call handling, double tap to wake and an answering machine.
Other additions include a new S Force audio engine, more personalization with the My Xperia Themes and power saving option called STAMINA mode.
All in all, the KitKat update will be huge on Sony devices. This include the Xperia Z series, the SP, T, TX and V. Sony users can expect the update to come later this year.
