Sony Xperia Handsets Will Get Android 4.4.4 KitKat & More

Sony made new headlines yesterday after the company revealed on its devices that will be getting the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat and the greatness that are coming with it.

For starters, Sony confirmed that they will be sending out the update to the Xperia X, SP, T, TX and V. On top of that, these devices will be getting some functions from the Xperia Z1 and Sirius. The list includes new camera functions like Background Defocus and Timeshift video.

Also the Smartap feature will get an updated new design. There will be a close all button, which will be on its own instead of being paired to the Recent Apps and Smart Backlight like on the existing version.

As for the Xperia Sirius, Sony plans to enhance its audio experience. The smartphone will be upfated with the KitKat, together with S Force audio and Clear Audio with the xLoud engine.

All in all, this is one massive update that will surely thrill the affected Xperia users. At the moment, the Xperia Z2 is the only device running on the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat and soon, others will follow.
