Not long from now, Sony will be launching the Xperia Z2 Compact. Even when the smartphone is not out yet, fans and consumers can already start learning on what the Z2 Compact has to offer.
Yes, you heard that right. The Z2 Compact has its specs revealed through the recently released, Sony Xperia A2. After all, the A2 is the Japanese version of the Z2 Compact.
Looking back at the Z1 Compact, it was a carbon copy of the Japanese-exclusive, Sony Xperia Z11 F. The pattern will obviously repeat itself for the Z2 Compact.
Furthermore, the A2’s specs are something that we can expect coming to the Z2 Compact. It is equipped with the 2.2GHz quad-core processor that is accompanied by a 2GB RAM, a camera of 20.7MP on the back, along with a front camera of 2.2MP. The A2 has 16GB of internal storage, microSD support and 2300mAh battery.
The display on the A2 measures at 4.7” and it runs at 1280 x 720p resolution. This is exactly the same size and resolution that the rumours have been saying for the Z2 Compact.
While there is so much certainty for the A2 to be the Z2 Compact, it is still wise to take it with a pinch of salt.
