Intel proudly announced earlier today that their 14nm chipset is currently in its final stages of production and it is due to be ready in the coming months. The tech giant didn’t put up any specific launching date but Apple fans are hoping for it to be ready in June.
If the nanochips do get launched in June, then there will be sufficient time for Apple to integrate the new technology with this year’s MacBook Pro.
Intel shared that the smaller 14nm chipsets will be revolutionary when launched and it will be known as Skylake. Also, this upcoming processor will be replacing the 20nm Broadwell entirely.
On the downside of things, Intel won’t be the first tech firm to introduce a 14nm nanochip. Samsung has already developed the technology and is the pioneer of 14nm nano-processors.
Obviously, Apple will want to refrain from dealing with bitter rival, Samsung. The Cupertino-based company would prefer to wait a little longer just so that they can enjoy the sae new technology at a cheaper price.
