Intel has already confirmed that they will be launching new processors with 14nm architecture and it is known as Skylake. The successor to Broadwell is revealed to be making its debut soon this year and it is faster while also being more energy efficient than previous architectures.
While no specific release date has been revealed by Intel, rumours are rife in claiming that Skylake will be launched early next month. If so, then the processor will have ample time to fit itself inside the future MacBook Pro.
This will surely boost the MacBook Pro’s performance while also adding some handy new features like advanced wireless networking as well as charging.
Many tech geeks are surely hoping for Skylake to happen. Otherwise, it will do no justice to Apple as they have decided to skip Broadwell because of the new processor. As such, it makes Skylake debut on the MacBook Pro all the more likely to happen.
Of course, this is merely based on rumours so it is best to take it with a pinch of salt. The next-gen MacBook Pro is tipped to arrive this summer so let’s hope that Skylake is able to make a much earlier entry.
