The Samsung Galaxy S5 is already out and it is truly an amazing smartphone. Then again, the same was said for the year-old Samsung Galaxy S4. Today, we shall see if the S5 is great enough to tempt S4 users into upgrading.
Like most Samsung smartphones, both the S4 and S5 are packed with tons of features. The latter has something more to offer like a heart-rate monitor, water resistant, dust-resistant and comes with the ultra-power saving mode.
In terms of display, the duo comes with the same Super AMOLED screen. However, the S4’s smaller 4.99” panel produces 441ppi, which is sharper than the 432ppi on the S5’s 5.1” screen.
Under the hood, the S4 is slightly slower as it runs on the older Exynos 5 8-core processor with 2GB RAM. The S5 is equipped with a more powerful Snapdragon 801 processor with the same 2GB RAM.
Another difference between the two is the cameras. The S4, as we know it, comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 2MP front shooter. Obviously, the S5 is better with its 16MP rear camera and 2.1MP front shooter.
In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the more powerful device but it is not something that can tempt S4 users into upgrading.
