Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Not That Adventurous

The newest premium smartphones in the market are not the most durable smartphones out there which is why smartphone manufacturers like Samsung have devices like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active.

While the previous Active proved to be as tough as Samsung has suggested, the new Samsung Galaxy S7 Active does not seem to be as durable and tough as we thought it would be.

According to Samsung, the new Samsung Galaxy S7 Active should come with a water resistant rating of IP68 which means it should be able to survive under five feet of water for 30 minutes. However, a recent test done by Consumer Reports showed that the device was rendered unusable when it was submerged under five feet of water for 30 minutes.

Consumer Report tested two units and both units were damaged in the experiment. Samsung responded by saying that the two units tested by CR could be defective and that they have received very few complaints about the water resistance of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active.
