Smartphones have gone a long way since it first started and so is the rivalry between Apple and Samsung. To the consumers, smartphone has advanced so much that there are many deciding factors instead of one.
In terms of display prowess, the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 has achieved full marks and is dubbed to be the best display on a smartphone yet. Despite all the criticism on the Samsung, the Galaxy S5 manages to amaze the world by offering a spectacular view of digitalization.
The amazing thing is that Samsung didn’t increase the pixel count or resolution of the device. Instead, the smartphone manufacturer focused entirely on enhancing the colour accuracy, brightness and high ambient lighting performance of the Galaxy S5. Such improvements granted Samsung full marks by many tech analysts.
The iPhone 6 is yet to be unveiled but consumers are expecting it to compete with the Galaxy S5. Word has it that the iPhone 6 will feature a 4.7 inch screen which offers Full HD 1980 x 1080 resolution. On the other hand, Apple likes to keep it within its ratio. As such, there is a chance for it to be 2272 x 1280p.
Then there are the rumours on Apple changing the material of its display. A leak revealed that Apple has patent the use of quantum dots technology. Such a thing will result in a colour accuracy like no other.
This will only be confirmed once Apple launches the iPhone 6 in September. As for Samsung, the phone manufacturer will be rather busy as the Galaxy S5 is about to make its global debut this April 11.
