Samsung Galaxy S4 & Note 2 Are Now Wrist-Friendly

Samsung launched their latest flagship handset recently, which was the stunning Samsung Galaxy Note 3. At the same time they also revealed their first smart watch, the Samsung Galaxy Gear. The Gear can be used alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

However with the release of the Jelly Bean 4.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy S4, this makes the handset compatible with the Galaxy Gear. The same update will also bring compatibility for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and S3, said Samsung in Korea.

The CEO and president of IT & Mobile division of Samsung electronics, JK Shin, had this to say “Extending Galaxy Gear compatibility to more Galaxy devices reflects our deep commitment to continuing to deliver enriched mobile experiences to our consumers.”

It seems that more of the Samsung Galaxy handsets are going to have support for the Samsung Galaxy Gear very soon. This compatibility will arise thanks to software updates.

In case you don’t know, the Samsung Galaxy Gear is a smart watch that allow owners to answer and make calls, if you don’t mind holding up your wrist to your mouth and talking into. Incoming messages and notifications will also show up on the watch. It also comes with a camera of 1.9MP, how strange would it look taking photos with your wrist? It also offers an easy solution for controlling music. So what do you think, will you be getting one?
