A schedule for the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update had been published by a French carrier, SFR. The schedule shows the release dates for the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update in France only. These SFR schedules verified the rumors on the HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android update release dates in the past well. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update will bring the Samsung Galaxy Gear watch compatibility to the Samsung Galaxy S4, S3 and Note 2.
The Android operating system has to go through some testing levels. First, the OS will be tested by its developer, Google and then it will go to the smartphone manufacturers and later on to the network service provider. The network service provider’s update is usually the most accurate since they are the last level of the update testing. Hence why their announcement of the update is what everyone is waiting for.
The update for Samsung Galaxy devices will be available via Samsung KIES and as in for the other smartphone brands, the update will be pushed over the air as confirmed by SFR. However, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3 will only receive the update later in November.
The Canadian Samsung Galaxy owners should be receiving their Android 4.3 update before the end of this year. According to MobileSyrup, the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will receive the update in November. As for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom and Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, there is still no official news for the update release date yet.
