Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the S3 Mini were upset that they were not getting the update to KitKat. Some owners live internationally and they said that they hadn’t heard news about the update and whether it was coming to their device. Samsung made it known that the 3G version would not be updated internationally and of course this sparked rumours that the update to Android 4.4.2 might not arrive at all.
Things changed however when Vodafone gave confirmation that KitKat is heading to the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Rogers have also confirmed it too. However the update does seem to be somewhat restricted to North America.
The issue with the 3G version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 was that the device has just 1GB of RAM. Still thanks to OmniROM there are custom ROMs available for KitKat 4.4.3 for the Samsung Galaxy S3.
