Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Review: Accidental Button Presses!

In a matter of days from now, Samsung will be releasing the all-new Note Edge. The smartphone is going to be something very special as it looks to come with a curved display on its edge. As a matter of fact, the Edge is basically a Note 4 with the curved display.

The similarities with the Note 4 are endless. The Edge is powered by the same 2.7GHz processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The screen is also running on the same resolution of 2560x1600p. Heck, both the Note 4 and the Note Edge also comes with an S Pen for some added functions.

With that being said, we shall be looking into detail at what the curved display has got to offer. For starters, it is positioned on the right-side of the screen. Also, we noticed that it houses the shortcuts to basic apps and also, act as the notification panel. In addition to that, the curved screen comes with some functions like weather-telling, alarm and many more.

For a prototype that has been released on the market, the Note Edge looks like something revolutionary. However, something really new to the world has its own sets of flaw. The major hiccup with the curve screen is that we keep on touching the apps there by mistake. Also, the feature is not friendly to left-handers out there.

There is not many wrong with the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and we cannot blame it for some mistakes in its function and design. After all, the smartphone is a step forward into the future and things will surely improve from then on.

On the contrary, we find the pricing of the device particularly worrying. The Edge cost a bomb when compared to the Note 4. Despite their similarities, the Edge requires consumers to fork out an additional $100. For something that is still unproven, we find it a bit too pricey overall. Regardless, the Edge is a great device to own and will surely shape the future smartphones.
