If you have a locked Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and you want to move to another carrier you are going to have to unlock the device. Luckily there is a very easy way to unlock your handset and this is thanks to a leaked code from a Samsung insider.
So how do you unlock your Samsung Galaxy Note 3? Simply follow the steps below and you will have a device that you can use with any carrier.
Put a new SIM card into the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and then restart the handset and go to the dial pad. You can then type in *#197328640#.
You should then choose [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF. You will need to wait for at least 30 seconds here before selecting Back to enter Main Menu once more. From there, you should see the words “Network Lock”, select [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ. If things have gone to plan you should now be left holding a phone that is unlocked.
This unlock has also been said to work with other devices belonging to Samsung so you should give it a try if you have a handset that is locked.
