When it comes to phablets, there are none that can compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. In fact, Samsung has been dominating the large smartphone category as it constantly rolls out new models in the department. The latest is the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and today, we shall see if it is better than the Note 3.
The Mega arrived with a larger 6.3” display that offers 233ppi. This is pretty decent for a large device but it is not enough to challenge the 386ppi produced by the Note 3’s 5.7” display. It is more bad news for the Mega as the large screen will mean that its 3,200mAh battery will drain so much faster than the Note 3.
The latter has also proven itself to be ultrafast as it runs on the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The Mega 6.3 is quite slow as it is equipped with the low-end Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.5GB RAM.
By now, we dare say that the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is nothing more than a mid-tier device. It is a mismatch from the very beginning and the victory goes to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
