There is a strong anticipation for the next Resident Evil title, Resident Evil 7, and this is because the sequel is promised to return to the series’ horror roots.
Capcom has already teased about how they can now introduce horror in Resident Evil 7 after concluding the last trilogy with Resident Evil 6. Also, there is that leaked which suggests Resident Evil 7 to return to Racoon City.
In case you are unaware, Racoon City is the location setting for the first Resident Evil trilogy and back then, everything revolves around horror. Hence, this strongly hints on Resident Evil 7 to be built on the horror genre.
Of course, we can’t take this in heavily as we believe that Capcom has lost the real definition of horror. We can only confirm more on this once Resident Evil 7 gets unveiled at E3 next week.
