VW Passat CC’s Sibling To Debut In 2017

Remember the Volkswagen Phaeton? The luxury saloon that was discontinued in the US and UK due to its poor carbon emission is about to make a return next year.

This was teased by VW’s boss, Klaus Bishoff, at the recent Shanghai Motor Show. The lad claims that VW is working on the next-gen Phaeton and it will be ready for launch somewhere in mid or late 2017.

The Phaeton is said to come out with a styling that is based on the C-Coupe GTE concept. However, the front-end design of the Phaeton will be tweaked to look more unique than the concept model.

When the Phaeton arrives, it will be slotted about the VW Passat CC and assume the role as the largest and most luxurious sedan from the German carmaker.
