The huge Resident Evil fan base had made it clear that they wish the series to return to its traditional roots where the games were thrilling and horrifying at the same time. Ever since Resident Evil 4, the series have been a land slide and the fans are not too happy about it.
If Capcom is going to keep this up with the future Resident Evil 7, the fans might just call it a day and forget about the entire franchise. After all, there is another game coming which might just give the fans what they want.
The game, identified as The Evil Within, will look to offer the fans the ultimate horror experience. On top of that, there are so much mysteries and puzzles that have to be solved in The Evil Within.
Capcom should be able to realize this by now and if they ever slip u with Resident Evil 7, then there is a risk of the series closing shop. The Evil Within is truly a nightmare for the game developer.
