Porsche Wouldn’t Hit The High Notes Without Macan

2015 was a great year for Porsche but 2016 was even better. The automaker managed to set a new record for their sales last year by selling about 237,778 units in 2016 and they have the Porsche Macan to thank for that.

Porsche sales grew by 6% last year compared to their sales in 2016. It is reported that Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East took up a large chunk of the sales. They also reveal that out of the 237,778 units, 95,642 are Porsche Macan.

Of course, the Porche Macan is not the only vehicle carrying the weight. Models like the Porsche 718 Boxster and Porsche 911 also experienced a growth in sales.

The current Porsche Macan will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four engine that will be offering about 252hp. There is also a Twin turbo V6 engine and a 360hp engine for the GTS model. The GTS model will have a top speed of 159mph and will return about 17mpg in the city and 23mpg on the highway.
