As reported previously, the ongoing Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal has affected the 3.0-liter TDI V6 engines as well.
The Environmental Protection Agency found out that the engines are used in many of the Audi and Porsche, including Porsche’s only diesel offering in the US market, the Porsche Cayenne. Because of the issue, Porsche has ended the US market sale on the Porsche Cayenne diesels.
The carmaker states that the EPA finding as “unexpected”, and tells that the stop-sale order is their own decision. However, Porsche Cayenne users do not have to worry because they can continue using their cars as usual like the rest of the VW vehicles that are involved with the scandal.
Porsche further informs that the stop-sale order for Porsche Cayenne will remain until they can solve the issue. There is no mention of what is the solution for the 3.0-liter TDI engines.
