Porsche 918 Spyder: All Heading Back

Porsche will be issuing a recall to recall back the limited Porsche 918 Spyder model. According to Porsche, a total of 306units will be recalled and since there will only be 918 of these models made, the 306 units could be all the units that are offered here in the US.

According to the report, the Porsche 918 Spyder was recalled due to the front suspension. NHTSA reported that the lower control arms would crack. Those affected will be getting a replacement lower control arms for free.

You would think that with cars like this, there won’t be any recall or issue but this is actually the third recall for the 918 with the first one happening in 2014 and another in 2015/

The current Porsche 918 comes in with a 4.6 liter V8 engine that is paired with electric motors and is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The vehicle will be offering about 887hp and will only need 2.5 seconds to go from 0-62mph.
