The first global event was a failure for the game Pokemon Sun & Moon but that was because the developers set the goal way too high. For the second global event, the developer gave their players a more achievable task but it looks like they fail to complete that as well and some people think that it might have something to do with the Pokemon Go app.
The Pokemon Go app craze might have died down but Niantics have been trying to make sure the die hard fans are kept entertain by release new update and special events to spice things up.
The last New Year celebration event will allow players to catch as many Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur as they like. Some people think that this might be the reason why the fans failed to complete the Pokemon Sun & Moon event but we think it has nothing to with Pokemon Go.
Players only manage to collect 661,00 out of the 1 million that there were suppose to complete.
