Puzzled is the best word to describe the US & Europe Pokemon fans at the moment. They simply can’t understand what Nintendo is doing.
Ever since the Pokebank tragic release back in December last year, all Nintendo did was apologize and calls for the fans patience. It is almost a month now since that horrific incident and everything regarding the Pokebank seemed awfully quiet from the game developer.
Today, the Pokebank has supposedly gotten a re-release but is restricted to the Japanese market only. The Pokemon community from the rest of the world are dazed to the fact that Nintendo took a whole month to do the re-release.
The faulty launch was understandable but to wait an entire month for a re-release is ridiculous. Fans are wondering why it can’t be a week or two instead. After all, it is a server outage.
On another note, these fans are unhappy over the fact that Japan is more loved by Nintendo than the rest of the world. Some fans still cannot comprehend Nintendo’s long delay. However, it was the Japanese market that kept the company alive a couple of years back so they rightfully deserve to get the Pokebank first.
The servers might got that much needed upgrade. In spite of that, Nintendo probably wanted to control the traffic just as assurance that such an incident won’t repeat itself. That could be why the game developer opted to release the Pokebank per region.
There is still no official explanation from Nintendo to back up their actions. The problem isn’t with the Pokebank. Instead, Nintendo has ultimately failed to properly address the fans.
