Pokebank Imposes Own Restrictions On Pokemon X & Y Users

A major event is about to kick-off in Pokemon X & Y. Fans are busy preparing their Pokemon as they look to participate the upcoming beta competition event. As the competition draws closer, Nintendo made some ground rules which are compulsory for contestants to follow.

For a start, Pokemon transferred via the Pokebank is not allowed to feature in the double battle with other trainers. On top of that, Pokemon must be fixed at level 30 or they will be disqualified.

Then there is the eligible Pokemon. It appears that only Pokemon ranging from number 1 to 718 in the Pokedex are eligible. Of course, some of them are an exceptional case.

The following legendaries and Pokemon are not allowed to compete in the competition:

Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, or Zygarde.

Players should start preparing fast as the competition will take place later this month. There is a format to follow. If you’re born after 1998, you are restricted to Junior division. If you’re born before 1998, then you can only join the Masters division.
