Although Sony did confirm that there will be a newer version of the Playstation called the Playstation Neo, they never really did confirm when the console will be arriving.
We all assume that we will only be seeing it next year but according to Gamestop CEO Paul Raines, we might be seeing the console later this year. When asked by the interviewer on CNBC today if the consumers will have anything to look forward to this holiday season he mentions that the Playstation Neo and Xbox One S will be available.
“But remember, there are two different form factors: a PS4 Neo and an Xbox One new slim version. So there will be some activity and upgrades, along with the VR.”
We know that Microsoft has already confirmed the Xbox One S, but the same cannot be said about the Playstation Neo.
Gamestop later released a statement saying that he did not say the console will be arriving for the holidays but merely stated that these hardware are coming in the future. If that is the case, what about the Xbox One Scorpio? Did he forget about that?
