There have long been rumors about Sony possibly releasing an even more powerful version of the Playstation 4 called the Playstation 4.5 but since Sony never really did confirm or deny the rumor, nobody knew what to expect.
However, The Wallstreet Journal has now suggested that the PlayStation 4.5 rumor is true and that the upgrade console will be coming in with a better performance and that players will be getting a “higher end” gaming experience from the upgrade console.
That is not all they had to say. The report also added that the upgraded console will be released before the Playstation VR which suggests that we might not have to wait long for the Playstation 4.5. Others took this as a sign that the upgrade console was release to support the VR headset.
If you own a Playstation 4, don’t worry. The game catalog should be the same and it is highly unlikely that Sony will be releasing any Playstation 4.5 exclusive games.
