Nokia Normandy Android Phone UI Revealed, Is That Cupcake? (Leak)

Nokia have been working hard on an Android phone that they have given the codename of Normandy. Now we have seen photos of the UI thanks to a leak by @evleaks, who showed off the custom Android implementation of Nokia in three photos.

In the photos the Skype app can be seen running along with the phone dialer from Viber and a lock screen complete with notification centre.

It has been said that the UI seems to be a mixture of elements from Windows Phone and Asha, plus support for dual SIM cards. At the moment we have no idea if the Nokia Android handset is going to see the light of day as Nokia have been testing it to possible include it in their low end device range. The Nokia acquisition by Microsoft has left the project in limbo.

There were reports from the Verge that the Normandy handset would use its own variation of Android and it would be different from Google’s own version. It is thought that Microsoft will close the Nokia deal in the months to come and we should find out about the fate of the Normandy device then.
