No Google Nexus 10 2, But Nexus 9 Instead

Back in 2012, Google launched the Nexus 10 tablet and it was dubbed as the best tablet of that period. It is already 2014 now and the fans are growing tired of waiting for the next Nexus 10 2.

Well, the highly-anticipated tablet might not get produced at all. New rumours are suggesting that the old Nexus 10 will be replaced by the Nexus 9 instead. The tablet will sport an 8.9” screen and will be based on the HTC Volantis.

Looking at the leak image of the Nexus 9 packaging, it looks like an oversized Nexus 5, with some influence from the iPad Mini and the Nexus 7. There is the Nexus name engraved at the back of the casing, right below the 8MP rear camera.

Over at the front, viewers should be able to notice the fairly thick bezels surrounding the screen. The Nexus 9 is made of aluminium, which will offer a premium feel to it.

The pixel density on the screen is measured at 281ppi, which is decent for a large tablet. It is powered by the NVIDIA Logan 64-bit processor. Other features include a 16/32GB internal storage, stereo speakers and a 3MP front shooter.
