Seeing as the name of the upcoming Star Wars movie matching the name of their model, Nissan probably thought it was a good idea to link to two up.
The upcoming movie will be title Rouge One: A Star Wars Story. Nissan will be taking this opportunity to also promote their Nissan Rogue model. Nissan is not the only one looking to ride on the Rogue One hype train as it has been reported that Duracell, General Mills, Gillette, and Verizon have also secured a collaboration with Lucasfilm this time around.
This is not the first time automakers are looking to cash in on the Star Wars fame as well. When they release the last movie last year, Fiat Chrysler brought the new Star Wars-themed Dodge Charger and Dodge Challengers as well.
