The latest Google Nexus 6 is one powerful smartphone that is built with the best hardwares around. On the other hand, there is the OnePlus One which comes with powerful specs while also being super cheap to own. Between the two, which is better?
In terms of display, the OnePlus One runs on a 5.5” LTPS LCD screen that operates at 1080p resolution. Of course, being newer, the Nexus 6 has a larger 6” screen and sharper 2K resolution.
In addition to that, the Nexus 6 comes out with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. The OnePlus One, on the other hand, runs on the old Android 4.4 KitKat.
Under the hood, the latter is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM. Internal storage for the China smartphone is fixed at 16GB and 64GB. Unfortunately, the OnePlus One does not have support for microSD.
As for the Nexus 6, it runs on the latest Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.5GHz. This is paired to 3GB or RAM and memory can be expanded till 128GB via microSD.
Judging on the performance of both devices, the Nexus 6 is obviously the faster device. If there is one thing the OnePlus One can brag about is its cameras. Even though both smartphones are equipped with the same 13MP rear camera, the OnePlus One has a 5MP front shooter, which is better than the 2.1MP on the Nexus 6.
Then again, this is not enough to challenge the Nexus 6 in every way. On a positive note, the fact that the OnePlus One is super cheap makes it more desirable than the Google Nexus 6.
