There is a lot of respect for OnePlus as the tech-developer from China is able to produce a super powerful smartphone that retails at an amazingly low price. Yes, we are talking about the OnePlus One. It is a device that gives the S5 a run for its money and today, we shall see on how it will fair when being pitted with Google’s very own Nexus 6.
Display-wise, the OnePlus One comes with a 5.5” LTPS LCD screen that runs at 1080p resolution. Unfortunately, this isn’t enough to even challenge the Nexus 6 as the latter boast 2K resolution. The Nexus 6 is also blessed with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is still unavailable for other Android smartphones at the moment.
The OnePlus One is equipped with a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM. Internal storage for the China smartphone is fixed at 16GB and 64GB. Also, there is no microSD support with the OnePlus One.
The Nexus 6 is a step ahead of the OnePlus One in this segment as well. The Google smartphone is powered by the latest Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.5GHz. This is paired to 3GB or RAM and memory can be expanded till 128GB via microSD.
Both the OnePlus One and Nexus 6 might be two very different smartphones but they both come with the same 13MP rear camera. However, the former triumph in this contest as it has a larger 5MP front shooter, which is also obviously better than the 2.1MP on the Nexus 6.
Judging from the comparison above, it is pretty clear that the OnePlus One is second best to the Nexus 6. The latter is simply too powerful for OnePlus One to handle at the moment.
