It is no secret that Google is looking to commence the Android Silver Program and it will mark the end of the Nexus era. The latter has long served the masses by offering powerful devices that are super cheap to own.
Come November this year, the Nexus 6 will be rolled out as the last of its kind. However, new speculations suggest that the highly anticipated smartphone won’t be coming at all.
The word came from Evan Blass from @evleaks who Tweeted that the Nexus 6 is no more. The post created unrest among the Nexus fans which forced Evan to do a follow up by saying that the device has been cancelled due to the Android Silver Program. The lad then posted a final Tweet suggesting that the Android Silver Program will be commencing in February next year.
This is really worrying for Nexus fans as @evleaks has always been spot on with their findings. Then again, those statements are still pending confirmation from Google which is why it is important to take it with a pinch of salt. Fans of the Nexus 6 should not be let down by this and instead, continue to hoper for the best.
