Nexus 5 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Now Available Through Alternate Means

It was previously announced by Google that the Android 5.0 Lollipop will be released to the masses once the upcoming Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 make their debut. On the other hand, previous Nexus devices don’t have to wait for that to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

However, the latter don’t look like happening after new reports surfaced suggesting that the Lollipop OS has been delayed for the old Nexus 5, 7 and 10 due to some bugs. The word is that Google is currently taking out all the last minute bugs lurking in the Lollipop OS.

Regardless, the delay is not going to be a stretchy one. It is indicated that the Android 5.0 Lollipop will be pushed out on November 12.

On the other hand, Nexus 5 users can jump straight to downloading the Lollipop from today onwards. This is thanks to XDA developers, which have listed the OS on their website, complete with the installation instructions.

Then again, the Android 5.0 that is available is something unofficial and might differ from the final product later on.
