Next Subaru WRX: Taking Notes From Last Year’s Concept Model

Subaru fans are still butthurt after witnessing the latest WRX STi, failing to look like the WRX Concept that was unveiled last year. The latter is something which appeals to the fans but the final product didn’t turn out to be anything like it.

On the plus side of things, Subaru is aware of what the fans want and promises to deliver it with the upcoming WRX that is due in 2016. While Subaru didn’t specifically indicate anything like it , the information given by the industry insider looks like happening.

This is supported by Mamoru Ishii, who confirms that the next-gen Impreza will have a brand new styling language that will excite the marketplace. Subaru’s chief designer then revealed that it will draw inspirations from the latest WRX Concept where he lower section below the hip line a wider, more substantial stance and narrow up the roof section.

Then, there is Subaru’s WRX Project General Manager, Masuo Takatsu, who came out to share that the WRX Concept design can be applied on other future vehicles coming to the company.

All in all, everything is not lost for the fans. The beautiful design from the WRX Concept will still get produced in the near future. We can expect it to feature on the next-gen WRX.
