Newer Samsung Galaxy S5 With 20MP Camera & Hexacore Chip Leaked

It was just a couple of weeks’ ago when Samsung unveiled the upcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone and another variant of the same device is reported to be in the making as well. The Galaxy S5 Neo is expected to accompany the Galaxy S5 when the latter gets released.

Now, yet another version of the S5 looks set to get released as well. A leak, which surfaced earlier this week, hinted that the Galaxy S5 Zoom is in development too. It will be the successor to the highly successful Galaxy S4 Zoom.

The leak, which is spotted on a listing, suggests that the S5 Zoom will have a 4.8inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and will run on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. This upcoming device is equipped with the Exynos 5 chip with a hexa core Cortex A15 processing unit clocked at 1.3GHz. The S5 Zoom also has a built-in ARM Mali-T624 GPU. All of these will come with 2GB of RAM.

The main feature of the Galaxy S5 Zoom is of course the camera. As such, Samsung had thrown in a 20MP camera capable of capturing images at 5148 x 3888 pixels. Then there is the 2MP front camera as well. Both front and rear cameras are capable of HD video recording. The camera has features such as autofocus, face detention and touch focus.

The Galaxy S5 Zoom might be a rumour at the moment but if it is to be true, then expect it to offer a photography experience like no other.

The main Samsung Galaxy S5 will be shipping in April 11. Expect Samsung to unveil the S5 Zoom variant somewhere in May.
